What Yepto is

Yepto helps groups decide what to watch or where to eat by collecting swipe preferences and surfacing a consensus pick. It is operated by the Yepto team ("we", "us").

What we collect

• Swipe preferences (like / nope) on movies, TV shows, and restaurants.
• If you sign in with Google: your name and email address as provided by Google, used only to identify you across sessions.
• Anonymous session data — a randomly generated ID stored in your browser and a device-bound cookie — to restore your preferences if local storage is cleared.

What we don't collect

• We do not read your Gmail, Google Drive, or any other Google data.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.
• We do not use your data for advertising.

How we use your data

Swipe data is used solely to compute group recommendations and improve future picks for you. Your email is used to link your preferences across devices. We do not send marketing email.

Data storage

Data is stored on Supabase (hosted on AWS in the US). We retain swipe data indefinitely to keep your taste profile accurate. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

You can request access to or deletion of your data by emailing hello@yepto.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We set one HttpOnly cookie (yepto_did) to durably link your device to your anonymous session. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the date above. Continued use of Yepto after changes constitutes acceptance.
